Installed my pre owned soft topper this weekend and after driving for a few minutes the flap between the cab and bed (1st pic) begins to hit the truck and then ends up in the bed of the truck. Instructions didnt mention anything about velcro up there but i noticed the flap that stays in the bed has velcro in it (2nd pic). Do i need to put velcro here?

The flap in the bed has snaps. Softopper provided three drill in snaps for the bed.

I say move your topper/rails closer to the cab. My outer flap lies relatively vertical and drops between the bed and cab, while the inner one comes over and down into the bed (direct inverse of your flaps).

I didn't use the snaps but used the velcro strip which goes between the inside flap and the bed (your pic 2). Soft Topper provides it with the kit but if you didn't receive it from the second hand buy, just buy some at Home Depot, Lowes, Michael's, etc. It works really well, easy to undo, and no drilling required.

I ordered some from Softtopper yesterday.

So the softopper is practically touching the rear window of the truck? Or super close to it at least?

As close as you can so you can still fold it. Mine rubs on the 3rd brake light a bit when folding. And use those snap clips to keep the inside taut and it shouldnt flap at all

Yea, move the rails closer to the cab or pull your front straps down a bit.
I'm 1st gen and use the Velcro on the inside, but the outside flap and window sits pretty close to the cab window.

Lately though, I'm running it without the cab window on the softopper.

OK I just found the snap screws so if the Velcro doesn't work then I can use those. Will move the whole thing forward this weekend. Appreciate the feedback guys
