Sucks that the 4Runner is the only “midsize” suv with a traditional platform. The g wagons are now independent suspension at both ends -sorry just front- thanks to soccer moms in CA, it’s just a matter of time before Toyota caves and gives the masses what they want.

Not anymore. The new ones are unibody FWD with optional AWD. They're basically a minivan with a body shaped like an SUV

I don't think so. They already have the Highlander for people want an SUV that feels like a car so there really isn't any reason to convert the 4runner to shit.

Throw some soapy water under the tires.*

    * I refrained from providing the traditional Popular Mechanics magazine answer of “pour some used motor oil out under the tires” because apparently while that’s highly effective, it’s not appropriate anymore.

Great shot of the re-route. Now, how many reroutes are there to do on a Tacoma?

    AC, Differential, Exhaust...?

    I'll keep that in mind.
Drove it home just now. Notably more quite. I guess I didnt realize how loud they'd been.

I always watch my tire pressure. Does seem they've added some weights on the balance.
    So hoping its that.

Looking at it myself I dont notice anything out of normal underneath and had Firestone do a once over yesterday with everything looking okay.

As long as it's safe to drive down to windrock is all I'm worried about til next week.

@G.T. did you pack that cb tuner thing?

Glad to hear that you likely have a solution. Yes, I’m bringing it with.

If it's the newer ones then yea its FWD, as long as they dont have the parking brake on you'll be fine using the wheel dollies
I agree with the Highlander comment although we'll get to see around this time next year cause the buzz is 2021 will be the redesign. Speculation is they will go to the 3.5 engine with a 6-speed to help with fuel economy. Who knows what they'll do with the body but I just hope it stays body on frame. They will most likely be extending apple car play and android auto to all models and doing away with Entune. They'll have a hard time getting a large number of followers to upgrade if they go to crossover style and then the prices of every used 4runner 2020 and previous will skyrocket and no one will be able to afford them lol
