    BSM helps quite a bit when I'm backing out of my fenced-in driveway. The BSM alerts for cross traffic before I can even turn my head to check!

    Technology is moving at the slowest pace it will ever move from here on out. IMO, why not use all the safety features of a $40k truck? Someone is already trying to build the BSM into the Tacoma tail lights like the Jeeps have. I like Innovation! Just like Big Mike's RCLT!

    I tried to avoid that! No, but I almost got into an accident in a mall parking lot. Since then, I thought, why not try it out? Front Airbags have helped save the lives of over 50k people since 1987. I'm sure BSM will save some too... :notsure:

    As soon as you said those temps, I knew you had to be in Fairbanks. It's beautiful, but the winters are beyond harsh and it will take some time getting used to 3-4 hours of moderate sunlight during winters. But to offset that, the summers are very warm (80s) with nearly 24 hours of sun. Take the good with the bad.

    For what it’s worth.... I think the technology is dumbing us down; BSM, Parking Assist!? I turned off everything I could; the backup camera is more than enough assistance for me. Besides what will happen when someone who is reliant on this technology experiences a system failure? Just my .02. :crapstorm: :cheers:

    Maybe try backing into your driveway so your moving forward when leaving. I always back in when parking (whenever possible); much safer IMHO. Just a thought. :cheers:

    Lane assist just is not useful. Squawking at line curves etc. Shut that shit down.

    I like the backup camera in my Truck. Especially at night with bright LEDs. Watch all the bears, rabbits, raccoons, snakes, possums scurrying away.
