Would it be possible to grind a small slot into it & use a slotted screwdriver? Just thinkin out loud here.

 

Not sure. I’m thinking about picking up an Easy Out set. Your suggestion might be an easier cheaper solution.

Haha. I listen to XM but if I’m not mistaken the antenna is where my weather and traffic maps come from and I do use those. Someone please correct me if I’m mistaken

Are you 100% sure on that? I only say that because my weather doesn’t come in without the antenna attached. Haven’t checked the traffic info but every time I get my truck washed and I take the antenna off the weather says unavailable. As soon as I reattached the antenna it come back up.

I’m pretty positive on that since it needs a gps signal, FM wouldn’t be able to do that since it’s a wide band frequency range and GPS is satellite. Mines takes a few min to aquire position as well.
