it seems that most science anymore is geared towards some sort of political worldwide agenda of those in power to keep in power

i heard at one time that scientists drilled ice core from the arctic or antarctic and measured the contents of the air bubbles from eons ago and found the world was much hotter then

the cornfields are a real pain to drive 8 hours (65mph) just to get to the great Colorado and Wyoming, everybody complains of having to drive through here on i80, its a bore!

On the topic of black bears, we get tons of them further south here in the foothills of Los Angeles too. Almost every day they are in the news here the town of Monrovia where I live (since we're right at the bottom of the San Gabriel mountains). Black bears are always coming into the neighborhood and getting into people's trash and pools. Google 'Monrovia and bears' and you'll see what I mean lol.

Seen a few of them up close on the trail too. Actually saw a mountain lion for the first time in person about 2 months ago. For about 2 seconds before it was gone.

i have an upper radiator hose leak, or I would be near there in Plano soon at corporate meeting with someone intelligent to get to the bottom of it all
it would be nice for local dealer to change this hose for me for a 'reasonable' price so I could be on my way
now i gotta fill up a cart from Camelback with bits of this and that and wait for hose to arrive before any out-of-town adventures :pout:
a dude from Chicago approached me at the Shell pump interested in buying my truck, says he used to have a 2000 model, showed him the engine compartment to satisfy his curiousity and the thing is still leaking after I rotated the clamps 90 degrees, this must be original hose since its clamp indented the whole way around. Cannot risk a 200 mile trip and back to KCMO with a coolant leak, or is ok to drive with no coolant in the system

I risked a 1600 mi trip with a HG leak while towing, lol, but all my hoses are new and with fresh constant tension clamps. Just change the upper hose, it takes like 15 mins... the gates hoses from Oriellys are great, hell pretty much all rubber hose is made in USA still, it's one of the things we still do. Get some constant tension clamps and call it a year.

That's just what the book time on the job is, they count the time to drain and fill the coolant fully, but you only need to drain enough that it's below the hose. The tech has to make money, at 90mins, thats roughly $150 in labor which to the tech is maybe $70 in their check

i was just gonna elevate the front end a bit and pull the hose off and see what can get into a catch pan and hose it all down, not sure how much liquid I am gonna lose, this coolant is all new from a couple months ago and approx 7500 miles

or is it going to make a big huge mess in the timing belt area, major leak (slow drip) is right on top of the cover
