haha yea I figured. I remember your issues with Sophie since day one. She is a sweet dog though. Have you ever tried the thunder buddy jacket for her?

I have not mainly because the vet recommended against them, in part because they said they don't really work for an extended period of time as they start realizing the jacket isn't preventing the sound and they also said Sophie is a bit more intense than a jacket can help. they tried to sell me some expensive ass medicine and I said nah I'd rather just put up with it..

by that logic I'm not overly concerned with accidents in the house. the issue is that Oscar is so well trained to not go anywhere but the yard that I'm afraid he will literally hurt himself holding it even on the deck. the deck is also only screened in (well not anymore because I tore the screens down to replace) but Sophie busted through one of the screens to jump ~6ft down to escape the yard when the arsenal was testing.

Yea, I remember the vet trying to give me a prescription for Bogey for his anxiety with fireworks and I said hell no. Im would rather get him a coping mechanism rather than shoving a pill down his throat with either worse side effects or something that is detrimental to his health.

exactly, problem is she also isn't a recommended candidate for a coping mechanism.

    I mean...here's the options I've got.

Leave them inside: risk of accidents on the floor, or Oscar damaging his own bladder holding it too long. 10+ hours inside alone.
Leave them outside: Oscar barks at everybody. If thunder or arsenal testing occur, Sophie gets out.
Tether Sophie outside: fear of her hurting herself with the tether and her having no access to shelter.
Doggie Door: gives Sophie access to outside where she can escape...
Get rid of Sophie: all problems solved, but nobody will take her (I've tried)...I can't bring myself to take her to a shelter, or put her down.

Thanks boss. Working out has always been in my DNA. I use to go to the gym 6-7days a week. Now i only go 3-4. I got super shredded at one point. Was around like 8% BF. Im probs around 12 right now which is my livable comfortable BF. Still pretty toned but not shredded lol. Only get super lean for summer usually.

So far, I've met Lucy, Oscar, Leo and Jasmine, all cool dogs in my book!

Yeah, anyone abusing animals are sickos and should be dealt with in a reciprocating way. Tied naked to a tree in the middle of a national forest, with honey smeared all over them. Then other animals and insects can get their own kind of justice.

So gonna try to get a spot at oak mountain to camp this weekend. Weather is going to be in 60’s at night. It’s gonna be a beautiful weekend for fishing and kayaking and hiking! Going to put the Tent back on tonight!

all i do with my dogs is limit their water intake before I leave for work.

doggie door and find out how your dog is escaping. my mom has her fence lined with 2 metal wires that will shock the dog on a pulse box. Keeps them about 8" from the fence.

edit, something like this, but with longer wire holders to keep the dogs a bit more off the fence.

Just had my battery light come on at lunch. Voltage is reading at 12.1-12.3 volts. Alternator is most likely the culprit. Guess I'll be utilizing that lifetime warranty at Advance Auto since this alternator is only a year and half old. Not thrilled at the moment.
