I have shock towers that are pulling themselves out of the frame looking for someone with at 220Volt welder or a welding shop willing do to the work. I will/can cut and clean the area before welding. I have welding skills if you have a welder available. Will be in the area from 8/29-9/3

Aaron at Brucker Brothers but he's probably booked solid for a couple months out.

That's what it looks like to me. Welding would definitely be a band-aid; good call on plating to prevent it from happening again

I wasn't trying to leave you out... As far as I can remember they both have access to welders in the Boulder/Longmont areas

    Stuff. Also things.
Damn! I’d love to help, but this is probably outside of my hack welding capabilities. I’m also pretty busy at the moment between work and going back to school, unfortunately.

I’m in total agreement with @In4aride, though. The legs of those mounts really should extend down to the bottom of the frame instead of creating stress risers in the middle where the frame is the weakest. It also looks like it’s happened before and someone tried to weld the cracks and they just cracked again.

You wouldn't want me welding on your truck frame. Most of the welds in my short welding career have been in oddly phallic shapes.

If it worked out for you though, you could certainly use my welder to put whatever kind of shapes you wanted on your truck.

It definitely looks like it’s been welded once before, but I don’t think it was prepped properly before the previous repair. You need to drill relief holes at the end of each crack, otherwise their is a very good chance the cracks will continue to spider even after welded over.

Definitely don't let this guy do the welding. He goes in dry and doesn't even use gas.
