2012 no tailgate lock?

    Funny the stuff you miss when looking at a new car. My 2012 Tacoma with bu camera has no tail gate lock.....any options?

    I’ve seen the hose clamp clip, good idea. What about locking the gate in the closed position...

    Pop and lock. They are hit or miss. Some guys love em, others think they are crap quality especially with the plastic internal parts.

    I'm one of the ones who think they are crap quality....cheap-a$$ plastic broke (internal) causing it to pull away from the gate every time I opened it. Went back to stock, since I now have a topper that locks.

    I just wish they made one that was of all metal construction. The plastic parts in the Pop n Lock don't seem to last some times. Like some said, It's hit or miss.
