Test Drive new Tacomas

I wrecked my Tacoma, and I was test driving the new Tacomas and there is driveline vibrations slowing down and the motor shakes a lot in Park. There is a huge speed up between 3-4k rpm. Have you noticed these things. It kinda makes me wonder about getting one and what happened to Toyota quality since my 2013.

Are there more problems? What's up with this?

 

Itemized response:

1. Driveline vibrations - There are open TSB's for vibrations between 10-30mph deceleration. Last updated TSB was released in late July of this year. Warranty. Also keep in mind, new vehicles haven't been broken in...
2. Motor shakes in park - I haven't noticed much myself. It's a different engine.
3. Huge speed up 3-4k RPM - Read the file I attached. It has to do with the Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS). Designed, normal, and not a quality issue.

Well sounds like this isn't the truck for you, can I interest you in a ranger

 

Mine did have the shaking when i first got it but not anymore. Currently 9k miles

 

Maybe you need to test drive another one, no driveline vibrations in my truck.

Was reading the attached file and noticed it says 91 octane or higher. Wonder why it says that yet 87 is recommended in the Tacoma?

Get a manual and avoid most of the issues

 

Mine is smooth as can be. Maybe test drive a couple other Tacomas or look at a Ranger?

I test drove two and one was worse than the other in driveline vibration, but motor shaking in Park was terrible in both. It would be smooth, then vibrate then smooth

 

Get a Chevy Colorado then you’ll have different transmission issues and a host of other problems; then sell it and be thankful for a new Tacoma.
