The only crappy part is dropping the skid plate for every oil change
(every 3-4 months) This skid combo is off a 2016 TRD Off Road. it’s going on my 2017 Trd Sport.
No access door on this puppy!
Was that for the pro skid?
Ahhh 3rd gen engineering! Saved a few $$$ on a Off Road skid. I probably should have ponied up for a Pro skid. Again... married!!!! Lol

Now I’ll be ready to conquer those fire roads!!! Lol. If you seen the pan on Sport that they call a skid you’d laugh too

Oh I wasn’t paying attention that you got the factory skid. Yeah the pro skid has an access panel, that’s a big reason I got mine. Makes it way easier. Lots if people knock it but it’s just as beefy as the aftermarket skids. I had mine off a couple weeks ago, I’ve got a few dings.

Or be married to someone who supports your Tacoma habit....

My wife knows how much I spend on my truck and could give a shit less, because she gets to enjoy it’s offroadedness...

    True!

My girlfriend thought I was nuts buying the 4runner while I was still upside down on the Tacoma, but she didn't fight me over it. Then I took her for a ride in it and she was totally over it.

My wife drives an 07 xterra but has been eyeballing a new 4Runner, which won’t get outfitted like my truck but likely will get lifted and fitted with a a roof rack

Wisconsin native now in North Carolina...............Grew up in South Milwaukee. Went to South Milwaukee HS. Family now lives in Oak Creek.

I miss some things about Wisconsin, but not the weather. And I much prefer the Ocean to Lake Michigan.

    Girlfriend!
    Married is different.
Deekyn :hattip:, my wife was pissed when I traded my 2wd Tacoma for my 4x4 sport! She hates driving my truck (fine by me) , doesn’t like sitting in it,(can’t see over the skewp), and bitches about gas mileage.
She always wants to take her JeRp Cherokee. It gets 26-27 mpg and I only get “22mpg”

Ahhh I remember when I was just dating and blew money on gambling, beer, and just shit! lol :ballchain:

She leases. She always wanted to trade a vehicle in and lost her ass. I said fine. Lease a vehicle every 3 years . She had a Chevy Cruise and now is on her second JeRp. Oh well, once she kicks the bucket I’m selling the house and moving to Reno.

Casinos 67B445B9-3F36-480E-A4A8-470EA98903FB.jpgAnd trails to bust my new Tacoma PRO or I’ll still have my sport

Sounds like my first wife. She fucking hated dirt roads and road trips and traded cars like she did shoes, while bitching about the cost of my last Tacoma. :puke:

    Traded up for sure.

It’s not all bad. She likes road trips and every year we drive out to see family in Reno. On the way back I’ve been hitting National Parks / Cities I’ve never been to. Last year was a monster 5,000 mile road trip. I’m a ass to deal with and that long of a drive I’m old and cranky. She always can’t wait for the next vacation. She just thinks it’s stupid to buy a brand new truck and beat the shit out of it. Plus I’m the guy that freaks out about a scratch from one of the kids parking in my driveway too close. I also park a mile away at the grocery store. She laughs and says, “right, you’re going to scratch your truck 4 wheeling and not flip out?”

She doesn’t get it!! If I scratch it on a tree it’ll suck but a shopping cart ding will piss me off all day.

Awesome! I'm hoping to visit Outer Banks sometime and do some fishing.

Hit us up if you ever visit.

I used to hang out with a lot of people from South Milwaukee. I grew up in Saint Francis.

Cool deal. You can hit me up if you need advice on the Outer Banks. I'm out there a lot. I know the lay of the land etc. Might be heading out there for the weekend.
