Exactly this is new and rare. My HPFP was replaced and I have heard others (in person) have the chirp as well. Never a failure though.

My HPFP has been replaced per TSB for chirping. 23101-0P020 is the part number on the TSB'd replacement. Maybe someone can chime in with theirs for comparison? Mine was also on back order but not a big deal because mine was still functioning.

I’m not sure really but I’m guessing it may be a reference number. Since I’m supposed to be getting a call back. This is what was emailed to me.

OMG man! 25k in less than one year. No offense but was it a super deal. That’s an incredible amount of miles on a vehicle less than 12months old highway miles or not. Is there some kinda of recall on fuel pumps for 2019?

I work a lot and cover a 4 county area in Texas roughly average 200 miles a day some days around 400 miles going location to location. I bought this one for that knowing I would put a ton of miles on it. I bought this one in March.

Ya I always get the extended warranty so I have stronger ground to bitch on. My 2014 accord started chirping at 15k miles on occasion so I took it in right away. It was constant so I brought it up so it could be noted at everyoil change. By 50k miles it was consistent enough to find. It was the water pump pulley bearings and belt. Had extended warranty BUT IF YOU EVER HAVE ABNORMAL NOISES OR THINGS HAVE THEM DOCUMENTED EVERY-TIME YOU GO IN so if “it” whatever IT needs attention down the road it was brought up before warranty expired showing a premature failure. So in this case a the first sign of chirping have them document it even it it’s rare and not causing a problem. In this case the squeaky gets the grease.

It depends on a few factors. How long have you had it , how many miles etc. I good possibility if it’s beyond return a strong argument could be make to trade it over for a straight Apples for apples same truck similar miles etc. I’ll tell you what. Start at the top with Service Director. If he offers a loaner truck with no out of pocket (meaning insurance costs) just you pay for gas and you really love your truck then go for that route. The longer you have one of their vehicles the quicker they’ll want it back and fix yours. If he’s a dick then go straight to Sales director. Explain about the piece of shit lemon one of his guys sold you

Yeah love my truck , first brand new vehicle I ever purchased . They gave me a pos loaner no cost just pay for my own gas . If I didn’t need my truck no big deal I can wait BUT like most of us on the forum we use our trucks for work . I can’t be going up in the mountains in a 2wd crv

So um... my question is... do you have rental car coverage on your insurance? If the dealership isn't helping you, make your insurance deal with it. You'll probably have more choices. I've gotten a lot of use out of it over the years.

I did not think insurance would cover if your not in a wreck.I know they had a cap on what they would pay when I had a truck in a body shop for a extended period of time.

Perfect. Your truck is not a POS, I was saying thats what I would SAY to get his attention. In reality IF you love your truck and they are taking care of you. Just enjoy putting miles on their truck and a piece of mind. It’s getting genuine Toyota parts installed by guys that work on our trucks all day every day

They offered me a car but I declined it due to not being able to use it to get to work. A car does not have the required ground clearance to physically make it to and from my work sites.

My fuel pump went out about 3 weeks ago. I have a 2019 TRD OR with almost 15k miles. They actually gave me a loaner Tacoma but it's the base of the base. They finally called today saying the part was delivered and they'd install it so I'm just waiting for the call to go pick it up.

I don't trust the vehicle anymore but I'm not sure there's much we can do as consumers. If it's happening to a couple of 2019s I'm not sure it'll qualify as a 'lemon' but they should probably issue a recall because this is ridiculous for a brand new truck.

Update. Toyota corporate put me on a priority list. They told me there was 191 fuel pumps on back order last Friday and 81 came in sometime yesterday or today. No eta on when they will get more from the manufacturer. However I was told he just located one in Louisiana that was available for the midland Tx dealer to purchase but if dealer did not get the one from louisiana. He would start checking in other countries for a replacement. He is supposed to check back in a couple days. When I asked about them installing a aftermarket one I was told Toyota would not honor any warranty on it.

My 2019 TRD Off Road has been in the dealer waiting for the fuel pump that went out three plus weeks ago..... still no word when the pump is gonna get here. Went out with about 9,100 miles on it.
