looking to get rid of my bucket seats. Found a bench setup for $50 out of a 1992 pickup. But someone said the Tacoma’s are wider than the pickup. Anyone know about this? Or would anyone be willing to measure their 3rd gen pickup seat width? Even if you have buckets measuring from edge to edge would help me out a lot

I happen to have a 92 and a 1st gen taco. Yes the taco is wider, no the seat bolt mount holes are not the same.

I’m not too concerned with the mount holes as long as I can get the supports to sit flat I can drill new holes or weld something up. Wondering if I could still make it work. I just don’t want to lose too much room if the actual seat width is considerably less

I would just keep looking for a bench out of a Taco. Theyre easy to come by as people often swap out their benches for buckets.

Thanks, but they aren’t plentiful or cheap around here at all. Also, I need one ASAP I have a chance to get the seat and the belt/buckle for $50. Which is why I’m asking. Money is an issue for me right now.

I have two little girls and my Tacoma is my only vehicle right now. I agree benches suck. Hopefully I can keep my buckets and put them back in when I find another vehicle

However, the taco has wider doorcards that make the outside of the truck appear wider.
