I see, ye that was a thought, but I first have to see how much effort is necessary.
Cause I have to do some drilling and maybe some trimming.

So for those with puddle light gaps,
When I was installing mine, I noticed that the screws that hold the puddle lights module interferes with the hinge housing.
It could be a tighter tolerance, with plastic ribs that seems to be thicker than OEM.

I inserted the trim piece with the lights dangling.
That was when I noticed that is was possible for the thickest of the screws would press against the harness or the inner plastic.
Causing the lights to never sit as flush.

Found it odd how the OEM cover fits flush with no issues, and are even interchangeable with the aftermarket's.
But once the Puddle Lights go in, it bulges or gaps.

Got them installed together with @MESO 's puddle lights.
Took about 7 hours, and about an hour of mental gymnastics for the instructions.
    Best combo yet!
Now need some ditch lights in the mirrors.

That turned out much better than expected.
This small hole really pushed my patience.

Used Meso's 3D print as a stencil, marked down with a pencil, then masked off.

Use lots of masking tape! Saved me so many times, especially when the dremel and drill bit catch, and go off to a place you do not want to go.

Drilled Three large holes, to the general size of the rectrangle.
I used a portable dremel (Ryobi Rotary Tool) with multiple sanding bits to shape the rectrangle.
Getting everything perfectly straight with nice rounded corners was a long process though.

Also, this is my first time ever using a dremel.
Bought the dremel just for this day. Lol

Also, I figured out that my aftermarket hinge covers are exactly the same as my OEM covers, in terms of physical dimensions.

So for those with puddle lights, they should fit...
But the bulge and gap was more prominent on the aftermarkets.
It is the hinge's internal ribbing and support that are thicker, and come closer to the covers.

Using a portable dremel, I shaved off a bit of the plastic closes to the puddle lights and rearrange the screws location gain as much clearance.

    No more gap or bulge.

    Thanks!
I used Meso's 3D print as a stencil for the hole.
Masked everything off, drilled 3 large holes, then sanded everything else down into a rectangle.

Held in by 3 of the original clips, and 3m extreme mounting tape.

I've tried looking, but to my understanding these power folders operate when unlocking and unlocking the truck as well as using the switch inside the cab. Is there anyway to get these to only work with the switch inside the cab?

That looks extremely clean! Best yet so looks like drilling holes and sanding smooth is the way to go over a dremel… slow and steady

I actually used a sanding bit on a dremel to get this.
Then wet/dry sand paper to finish everthing off.

    Close but not close.

I could still send it via USPS parcel or standard ground.
Really need it? Next day delivery also an option.

I would also like to inform everyone on something new that I found.
I do not know it if only applies to my mirror.

But the mirrors that we get most likely comes with little to no sealing in between the mirror assembly and the door.
I notice this, because my dashcam caught images of a fogged up windshield, on the inside.
Moisture can also be felt on the sailfin.

So when it rains, or morning dew, it would get inside via the mirrors.

I'm going to try and see if I can swap out the OEM's mirror assembly to door seal.

    UPDATE:

Tracking on PNP Harness shows arrival on the 6th. However, I went ahead and made the purchase bc I am 99% sure everything is good to go! They will take the next 4 days making 50 sets. Then they will ship them to me. I should receive them most likely 4 business days after that. Therefore, we are looking at an ETA of 2 weeks!!!

I also ordered 25 sets of the ME-SO Custom Bezels that go to print tomorrow!

POWER FOLDING MIRRORS ARE AT FULL RELEASE 100% PLUG-N-PLAY COMING SOON!!!!

Looks great!! Best one I’ve seen. Might want to show pics of the bits you used. I think people with less knowledge of the dremel world probably won’t know what terms you are using and would love a visual. I’ll add them to the install guide too. I love it. You did such a great job. I used the 3D print as my stencil as well. AMAZING! So proud!
