Like a 8 hour ride for me and it's my kids bday sunday.

 

That's about 5 hrs from my parents' place.

 

If the other thing doesn't work out I will trade you a rudder for it. I think that would work on the front of my trailer.

 

Is there a serial number on that thing? You might be able to call the manufacturer, give them the make, model, and SN.. very possible they might have it on file.

Just a thought though.

 

Do you know the model of your lock? The factory code is typically the same across a model, since you're supposed to change it when you get it. I assume it's an S&G lock.

 

You lost me there. I never changed anything as I don't think there was a way to do so.

 

There's a way to change the combo. If it is an S&G lock than it's actually pretty simple as long as you have the instructions. I did it multiple times when I was the FSO at my previous job in NM.

 

Any of you local NOVA peeps seen this truck around? Spotted NB on 286, exited at 29. Definitely law enforcement as I saw the onboard computer, just curious as to whether State or FFX County police since there are both located proximal to where he exited. The only clue to this thing being LE is the small lights around the perimeter of the cap, otherwise the plates and markings are civilian.

 

Perhaps I'll consult the FSO at work...the SERE courses don't teach this shit!!!

Do you know how many numbers are in your combination?

If it's 3 number, I'd try 50-25-50 or 10-20-30. Pretty much all of them go Left (stop at the number on the 4th time), Right (stop at number on the 3rd time), Left (stop at number on 2nd time), Right until the dial stops.

 

Four. After contacting the manufacture they will give me the combination once I provide proof of residency, which I have.

Looks similar to one in my neighborhood down in Stafford. One day I was pulling into the neighborhood and he was leaving, tailgate was down and many expensive pieces of computer and investigative equipment were waiting to fall out. I flipped a u turn and "chased" him down before he got on Rt 1 and let him know...he was very appreciative!
