Any chance you'd be willing to ship me a Rock Hill Farms? I'll cover shipping and throw in a few bucks or some BBQ rub for your troubles.

 

This weeks haul. Been able to get these off and on about a bottle or 2 a month.
McKenna I think was $34 and the Michter's was $42.
The Monkey Shoulder is for the wife. A pour in a Glencarin and a piece of Dark Chocolate in the evening and she's happy as a Lark.

 

Strange how things happen... I read @dumontrider post and thought how it would be nice to check out that store, however I live about 400 miles to the north, so I moved on. Late yesterday my GF got a call from her mom saying her dad is going into surgery tomorrow (today) for a just discovered spinal infection. We packed fast, hopped in the car and drive down last night (7 hours and a lot of traffic).

Anyway, just so happens they live in Torrance. I'm at their house working while they are sitting with him at the hospital. I remembered the post and looked up Adams bottle shop - it's about a 5 min drive from here. If I can, I'm going to try and get over there today. @bvbull200 - If so, would you want me to grab a bottle of the Rock Hills farm for you? I'm interested to see what the Weller 12 is selling for... Edit - just saw his other post where the Weller 12 is around $300. That's a hard pass for me! But I'm interested in the Michters so we'll see.

 

First off, I hope all goes well with your GF's father. Matters of the spine are scary.

If that RHF can be had for around $50, then I figure another $20 or so to ship and I'd definitely be in.

Yep it’s absurd. I’ve been able to get a few bottles at retail locally with no issues.
The W12 is the unicorn down here. $199 is the lowest I’ve ever been able to find it.

 

Shop in Bellflower (Southern LA county) has Weller 12 for $149, confirmed on the shelf as of last weekend. Still not a smoking deal but being in stock gives them an edge lol.

I've had it & know it's good but as of now I'd like to work on some other labels that I've yet to have. Variety being the spice & what not

I just picked this up, the rest of the stuff on my list seems too mainstream & I didn't want to be such a bandwagon drinker

 

I'm a little ashamed. Been on a margarita kick.

However I tried the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream. Mixed it with milk and thought, wow aside from the proof, it's almost a White Russian...Maybe if I put some Buffalo Trace White Dog in there, then it's not Russian. Now it's a White American lol....is that racist now? LOL

 

Seeing crazy awesome antics such as this got me to thinkin, who's gonna be the first to accidentally destroy a W.T.F Glencairn? Or has anybody already over indulged and sent one to the broader pastures? I got two for a reason both currently holding strong but Im sure the day will come. Haha!
