Remove the spacers then. And so your running your fox coilovers at 0 lift. I could have sworn yours was as tall as mine and I had 6” in the front

nah, the spacers staying lol, i want the fenders filled out. plus, this is about where my stance will be when I upgrade to 3.5" Long Travel. this gives me an idea of what needs to be done to the cab mount and body to be able to cycle this 37" tire.

i think yours was taller than mine to be honest. my coilovers only have maybe 0.5" IF THAT, and thats only to compensate for the lean. ive always liked having a lower setup and not having the coilovers cranked so much

Hey guys, after driving around some more im feeling like a slight click when accelerating from a stop, or hitting the gas while im already rolling. I cant quite hear anything windows down, and can seem to recreate it when the truck is in park. Its more like i feel it through the gas pedal as i accelerate. Any ideas on what to check first?

Check u bolts check upper and lower control arm torque. Check the shock bolts. Make sure the swaybar isn’t hitting the coils, make sure the lower shock mount has the spacers in it

On it. Also wondering if the skid plate is connecting with something. It mounted up fine but I didn’t have any spacers in my kit. Feels like it’s coming from the front.

I rub a bit tho. At ride hight I clear just barely at full lock. Any bit of up travel and its rubbing the fire wall. With the cab mount relocated the rubbing doesn't hurt the tire but I really should tub. Just been too lazy to do it lol

Oh, and I'm prolly closer to 2" than I am 3" now that I have the winch up front.

Are there any local (Florida preferred but closer the better) vendors that sell bolt on sliders? Or any shops near Tampa or this area that anyone knows of willing to weld the tube frames of sliders if the frame bolt plates were supplied by me?

I know there are nice sales going on right now due to holidays, but even then, shipping it what makes it expensive.

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Not ignoring/forgetting Timbo's Customs, I just didn't hear anything after my last question to him so didn't want to bug/annoy him.

My two cents is that you'll probably never find a large company doing sliders out of Florida. The need just isn't there.

I ordered my bolt to frame dclb w/ kickout and top plate from Avid Off Road a vendor here. They do nice work and went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased.

Word of advice, if you do have them fabbed up out of state, wait until you can hand them to somebody to powdercoat because expecting something this large and bulky to be shipped across the country and not get a knick or gauge here or there just is unrealistic.

I was going to wait until my 4Runner was done but I’ve got some plans to start doing bolt on sliders. I’ve got a 4 runner at my house to build some off of (5th gen). I’ll just need to get with someone with a 3rd gen and 2ns gen to get Frame dimensions and mounting points off of.

That is after I get done with my 4Runner as I’m working out of a 2 car garage in a hoa that I’m very surprised I haven’t gotten letters from lol.

You mentioned you only did weld-on at this time due to your capabilities, I was curious if you would be willing to fab up some bolt-ons if I provided some pre-made frame plates. I can make the plates here at work, we just can't do the tubing portion, pretty much the opposite situation you're in. Would love to support local and heard great things about your work.

    Thanks for responding

Fuck! That fucking sucks. I admired her greatly and the inspiration she was providing for women and girls to get into wheeling and motor sports in general. I was definitely a fan and she'll be missed. My heart goes out to her close friends and family.

:proposetoast: To Jessi Combs! May she be remembered always.

Edit: If I was younger, had more $$$, and was better looking, I would want to be dating or married to a woman just like Jessi (except maybe with black hair, but I wouldn't be that picky.)

I met her in Sturgis back in 2006 and messaged back and forth with her a bit when I was working for Daytona H-D in 2013/14 (she was tight with Shelly Rossmeyer-Pepe, GM of Daytona Harley). When I saw her death pop up when I was checking the news it was like a punch in the gut.

Got under and re torqued everything yesterday. Still getting some small sound on acceleration. Barely audible, like something clicking in and out of place. Thought maybe the skid plate was tapping the sway bar but doesn’t seem to be it. I still need to install the rear drive shaft drop spacers. Maybe that will help. Other wise when I hit Timbos spot for the cmc maybe he can help me investigate the noise. Really wanted to get it resolved before this storm but just can’t seem to pin it down.
