That X brace they have....as anyone looked into using it on a non X-Runner?

I've looked into it. Looks like the spare tire will need to be relocated and maybe some different shackles. I think the outsides of the x-brace attaches on the bottom of the rear leaf spring shackles. I've also looked into using the XR rear sway bar on my 4wd and that is possible through a mounting kit that SOS performance sells

 

just mounts to the shackles and the bumper reinforcement I think, probably would fit any 2nd gen

 

Interesting...does the XR have a different spare tire arrangement?

 

no sir but their spare is smaller. its an 18x8 and i think they have a 28 or 29" tire. Not sure the 6 lug spare would fit there, but i could be wrong

 

I had a buddy that had a S/C'd XR. And I thought I remembered seeing the spare in the normal location. But it's been a few years and couldn't remember 100%

 

Yes their spare does fit there, ive seen pics of them as well. Im just not sure if the 6lug spare will fit since its 30.5" or so
