I don't think the engine is built for that regardless so the reliability factor drops even more. Not to mention that the morons who drive them now aren't the best at preventing engine damage anyway

I'm out of engine energy today, from fully assembled engine with three bad rod bearings to completely empty and cleaned block in about 2.5hrs.

Gotta re-ring the pistons and give the cyls a quick hone. Probably going to paint the block tomorrow just to get the annoying stuff outta the way. Its gonna be Metallic Purple

The second part is probably true lol, but that engine has been boosted in other applications and can handle it well. The issue is the castrating tune that Toyota gave the 3rd gen Tacoma 3.5l. From what I can tell that's been the hardest thing for them to overcome but apparently it's been done, still doing safety testing though

Building one with a friend, bumping his 3.0L up to a 3.3 with some fresh internals to make it stronger and raise compression.

It is truly amazing that their business has survived the way it has for this long. Makes me think of the elite offroad guy taking on too much at a time. Props to them, those guys must be working their asses off round the clock. At the end of the day, one or two pissed off snowflakes that didnt get what they wanted, when they wanted it arent about to affect sales numbers in any way. Most of their supporters see through it thankfully.

If I was doing what theyre doing, there would be very little involvement on here. Maybe some teasers near the release date, and test monkeys selected via PM and sworn to secrecy. All the BS inquiries do is slow down development.

alright dog people I got an upcoming situation next week
I need to change my top radiator hose that has 2 1/2 months on the coolant
gonna have to do it in my driveway without making a big mess, and don't wanna find out that my little dog has a taste for Toyota pink coolant, so minimal spillage needs to be on the ground.
I was thinking it best to use the shopVac and suck enough out of the radiator so that when I take the bad hose off it won't start draining profusely

will that suction/siphoning be ok on the radiator or cause harmful things to happen, or has anybody ever had to do that suck from the top
i had to suck water out of the washing machine busted once and would not drain, so just stuck the hose in and blurb blurb blurb blurb, that was a fun experience holding that vacuum hose jumping all around

Ah I just saw the pic and assumed they were going to be making it, sounds like it's just a rumor that the media is using to get clicks...at least for now. I doubt it'll happen
