    What are some good breweries in the San Antonio area? My buddy just got stationed there a few months ago and thinks he’s in beer purgatory but I refuse to believe that.

    I drove over to Jester King on the way to Austin when I was there, didnt spend enough time in San Antonio to see any directly local. Twisted X and something else were there in the hill country as well, nothing crazy, but not bad. A bit of a drive away though.

    Blue star and alamo popped up as local places, never been though, they look highly rated.

    I enjoyed this nice Turtleback Brown Ale from Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, NC this evening.

    My Maris Otter Mosaic SMaSH is fermenting a way quite nicely. I will probably add a dry hop charge tomorrow to finish it off.

    I also plan to bottle my Pumpkin Ale tomorrow after spending a month in the fermenter.

    I got my Blonde Ale, Pale Ale, and Imperial Stout ingredients in the mail today. Atlantic Brew Supply is awesome because they allow buying ingredients by the ounce. My local store will not sell grain less than a pound at a time. I’ll hopefully have time to brew the blonde ale this weekend.

    Popped a sample bottle of my Helles, same batch from last weekend, just bottled. Carb seems to be doing alright, could use more. Clarity is good, taste is too. Nice light easy drinker....
