What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Finally had the Demello Off-Road Dominator sliders installed at their shop in Riverside, CA. Thanks to Jason for taking in the truck and their installer who did a great job with the installation.

 

I just did my puddle lights. They are awesome. When you do the wireup- Make sure to feed the small end through the boot on the door. I would recommend removing the boot off the door and the cab and using a solid fish stick to get the meso wire through. That was my headache, I used a flexible stick and it was a bitch. Pull the boot off the door and the cab, make it small by collapsing the ribs, collect the factory wires to the top, run fish stick thru, tape the shit out of the wire to the fish and pull the fish stick/ wire taped up, then pull the boot backwards. I almost ruined my meso wire by pulling the quick connect off. Also, while the door panel is off, think about doing sound deadening. Also- don't lose the clips that hold on the small triangle above the door panel, I lost 3 and had to order more. *things I wish I knew before I went after my install*

Finally got some @JDEMELLO sliders put on by @state48overland and the shop Erick and his team were great and very efficient, and blacked out headlights by @motorsport36! He also helped me put on pro grill and garnish, Was a great couple of last days with these mods! Borla exhaust is on its way and blacked out emblems for the tailgate inserts! Ordering KING set up soon once more funds come in.

Good advice for everyone.

I had installed the USR switchbacks in my mirrors, a few months ago. After doing one side, I learned to take both ends of the boot off.

Too late for the white clips. I lost all three on the driver side when I did the switchback install.

I'll need to put some plugs on the wire that goes to the switchback. Probably inside the door, about the same place as the OEM mirror plug. Otherwise, I will just have a mirror dangling on one wire. That wouldn't be good.

 

Yes. I read somewhere they changed they bolts they use now and will exchange your bolts if you registered your Diamondback. But I got mine off a guy who switched to a camper shell.

 

I have a few small projects I am working on over the long weekend....nothing too fancy...this morning was AVS Low-Profile Vent Shades....super easy to install, now I have to wait 72-hours before I can open the windows. I am really happy with the way the low-profile AVS' turned out.

 

I like these. I would like to get them but I also have some of some Cement TUFSKINZ interior accent pieces. Wondering if these would go with those. I guess I could get black ones and keep it more subtle. But...these things are BADASS!!!

 

Yeah I had the Tuffskins , took them off for these. No more chrome vents.

 

Got me thinking about a vinyl I'm wanting to have @CBoy808 make. Very similar to one he's already done except for a couple of proposed changes. Front profile of a 3rd Gen on uneven terrain. Toyota Pro Grille with TOYOTA lettering and the wording, "YOURS MAY GO FAST BUT MINE WILL GO ANYWHERE."
