Georgia TW September 27th-29th Camping Trip

Can explain what the camping area looks like? I have not been through there, and am curious.

Are we right on the river?

 

Look at the OP right under the "Things to Bring" list and that's where we are. There's a good amount of space where the trucks are and it goes further back I just didn't get any pics. Yes we are right on the river but there's no issue about the water level rising like we did at the last spot

I thought that may be the case.

I guess that means I need to bring the kayak.....

 

You can if you want, mind you it won't be a floating type of trip like the last camp out. The river moves pretty fast so you may get tired trying to paddle back up to the site but it's totally up to you. You can always drop in and then go down and have somebody pick you up at a different spot down the river.(where the jumping off the rock spot is)

Sorry, I haven’t been following this thread. I’ll be biking/camping in Pisgah that weekend.

You and I have already spoken offline about my disposition on my kids and general TW/forum meet-ups. I’ll leave it at that.

 

Guess I got too rowdy last time or my mouth did?

 

@backcountryj if you want to take the kiddo's I could bow out so the bombs don't fly from my mouth.

 

While kind of you to offer:

A) My comment was not directed at any one individual. Just a general choice on my part about where and how I choose to socialize my kids. Not intending to imply any sort judgment on others and their choices. The one camping trip I’ve been on where you were present was not the only TW/forum outing I’ve participated in. Please don't take my comments or choices as if they are based off of a single isolated occurance.

B) I already have plans that weekend with another TW related outing.

 

No worries, I know I get a little nuts and loud at times. Not trying to mess up family time.

 

I'm still a maybe and I've got you by 2 years.

 

I grew up in Warner Robins, man I miss those shows.
