Might as well go full circle. The guys with autos want them to operate like manuals missing a pedal

Thanks. I DL and reflashed just 3 days ago so I am assuming I am running the latest 2.0.

6th gear unlocks converter on small rises on the freeway that 1.05 would just motor over. kind of annoying on one stretch of my drive having it lock and unlock 5 times in a mile.

good note. Crawl Control is a TON smoother.

So I bought a license and tuned to 1.05 performance about 2,000 miles ago.

Before the tune on the freeway my truck would occasionally hunt for gears 6-5 mostly. Recently, however (past 700 miles or so), the gear hunting is pretty bad. With cruise on over 60+ it's almost unbearable.

anytime over 60 I'll be in 6th then it's pop down to 5th for a bit then down to 4th for a very quick second then 5 then 6. This cycle continues until I change speeds significantly.

anyone else seeing something like this? any recommendations? MPGs are at 16 or 17mpg for most of the tune running 93, If I use the whole tank on the freeway i can get up to 18.

I have Flash Manager 1.3.0 and with 0B04-AT 2.0.X.EROM is listed but nothing gets populated for Octane or Options and thus I cannot download any 2.0 tunes.

How are others getting 2.0 with 0B04? I'm eager to try it out now that I have 4.88s.

(I have tried Help=>Update and it says Update Complete)

1.05 is a big improvement over stock, but it wasn't perfect. I always tell folks that it helps but wasn't a complete fix. Gear hunting was still present both in city driving and highway. So, you're not wrong and not the only one experiencing that.

I have been running the 2.0 beta for a few days and about 300 miles now and can say it's much different. If you go back and read Matt's thoughts on Toyota's algorithm, it seems like he's completely almost rewritten it. I would still say that it's not perfect, but it really does drive like a regular truck now. Haven't experienced any noticeable gear hunting both in city and highway driving but we will see as I put the miles on. In the past, my truck seemed to relearn things pretty quickly so maybe in another 2-300 miles.

I don’t think the latest 1.05 tune works with CC. I don’t think any tune to date works with CC with the exception of 2.0 OLE maybe. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

It doesn't work well with ADAPTIVE Cruise Control. Put CC in normal mode (long push on the ON button) and it's pretty much A-OK.

Any particular reason you havent tried any of the 2.0 beta tunes? Massive improvement over the 1.05 tunes. Give it a shot if your ECU is available.

I’m just hesitant to throw on a beta before this camping trip I have coming up, I was assuming it wasn’t totally solid since it was still in beta but it looks like
    Good feedback so far

Every tune is a beta AND all versions of 2.0 are better than 1.5.

I was knat Ithe dealer last week for 10k maintenance. I told them I was having issues, basically just said I was having the same problem that the TSB was supposed to fix. After waiting 3 hours, they rotated my tires and did an oil change. L story short they asked me to wait around for 6 more hours while they talk to Toyota about the problem.

I know I can do that myself but I haven't done it before and the last person who recommended this gave me some sketchy web site to download software from.
