Guessing you’d have to cut glass for any snorkel, even a 4th gen snorkel?

Yeah I’ve tested three so far. All failed. This was the closest but still not enough.

Next option is do the custom pipe route and cut a normal hole for it to go into the fender but I don’t have the skill and don’t want to pay what others have. So I’ll stock up on MAFs and filters I guess.

Doing my spark plugs this Sunday with my mother in laws boyfriend. Wish me luck TW.

He knows what he’s doing but mechanical work always makes me nervous.

It's really easy. Don't forget to check the gap and the anti-seize.

Drilled the lock out. It now turns with a screwdriver which works for me. Tried to get it out to replace the cylinder completely but time was running out and wife was getting “frustrated” with me. Kept saying we didn’t need it. Well the thing is completely full and so is the back of the car. No way we would have fit it all otherwise.

It’s really not bad at all. Changed my moms 4.0 in a couple hours after never working on the engine before. Go slow, work one plug at a time so you don’t lose parts and everything goes back in the way it came out. Also plenty of people on here to help give advice/knowledge if you need it during the job.

Thanks for the tips on the plugs guys. Ill post if anything goes wrong lol

Should I expect anything as far as performance or MPG goes once done? I’m hoping it’s not the original plugs.. my truck has 160k miles but I don’t see any service history of it being done in the Carfax.

Depends on how bad your plugs are... I'd recommend replacing spark plug wires but I don't think the 4.0 has them, instead they use a coil per plug.

Good luck! Also most spark plugs are pre-gapped these days but its a good idea to check it.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Correct. No need to do wires/coils yet until you start getting a code popping up. Just the plugs. Be sure to go easy getting them out. Don't want to break one. You can spray a bit of lube into the whole before you pull them out too, help loosen any carbon build up
