I’m here all day man, I usually finish my run around 630am and go till dark. I’ve got a lot of stuff we can use, some of it may be a little heavy walled for the purpose and have surface rust though. Most of mine is leftovers from bbq trailer builds.

Cool cool cool, I still need to look up your address and see how long it'll take to get there. I'll see if I can get there by 8 or so.

Today was freaking cool. I hung out with Kent (@DiamondW) all day and we tackled the swing-out tire carrier. I can't thank Kent enough for everything today and the stellar outcome from two professional novices. I'm really happy with the product and just generally had a pretty awesome day. It had been a while since I'd done any welding but I managed to get a few in there and there's only one I'm going to love on with the grinder. I've also got to compliment 4xInnovations on their swing out kit. The spindle alone is 100% grade A beef. It's obvious they put a lot of time and thought into their kit, it was very simple and made the whole process pretty idiot proof.

    Here we go:

    The parts

Shimming the spindle to match the angle of the bumper

Nice and even across the back

The placement of the tire will allow for a 37" to fit without sticking out the side or over the top.

And I'll upload pics tomorrow with the tire on it.

This thing is sturdy. Unbelievably sturdy. I was expecting some chatter on the way home, not a peep. If a meteor hits Earth, cockroaches and that swing-out will survive. Guaranteed. It came out perfect. Everything lines up nicely, it's all squared up evenly, and hell it looks good too. Couldn't be happier! Thanks again for all the help today, Kent! And the Shiners

I’m glad you are happy with the finished product man. I had a blast today, it was a good time hanging out and getting it done. Come on out anytime, we can always find something to get into.

Yea man, it really came out great. I stopped and picked up some lugs and threw the tire on. The carrier doesn't even know it's there.

    :fistbump:

    Haha yep

    Hell yeah!

Thanks man, it was Alex’s brain child for sure. He had a really cool vision for it, and I think we got pretty close to it.
