Considered checking out Lost Coast, but since I won't be taking enough time off to justify going (plus going alone), I'm going back out to Big Sur.

I will be heading out on a Wednesday, either the 4th or 11th, and stay for one night.

If anyone wants to tag along, post here. Will be riding solo so if someone wants to tag along, let me know.

PS it's warm out there, and there are a lot of flies. Otherwise, best views you could ask for.

    Nice!

Been a long time since I've been out there.

Work every weekend; weekdays lend to less people and a better spot to pick from.

My only uncertainty is, what kind of canopy with mosquito net to buy that'll hold up to constant use o_O

Decided to go yesterday (posted in chronological order) -

Some use Maxtrax to level out their truck when they've got their RTT pitched, I use it to level my grill because I'm craving some eggs and sausage -

Little flexing; there were lots of times where I could've captured a picture but instead I focused on driving -

The drive back down is just as beautiful. To think I was just on that ridge an hour ago -

How many other people, not in your party, were up there? Also, how were the skeeters? I'm suspecting the weekends will be packed as summer winds down.

    Meet in the middle? :boink:

    I went by myself.

The white Ford Explorer was already on scene (at a different spot) by the time I got there; they drove around a few times only to stop where I was when they saw me setting up camp. There were 2 people (couple).

Then shortly after the Rav 4 showed up, which had a total of 3 people (couple, and the guys brother).

Finally, a short while later, the Subaru pulled up. Guy camping solo.

Everyone was really nice and quiet, but really we all kept to ourselves for the while after the long introductions.
