Not my engine, nice color though. Looks like Mopar purple like the road runners used.

If it was mine it would be battleship grey

    Paging @GQ7227 -

    20190830_120555.jpg

Should I declare my truck a total loss? My rope hooks are all rusted...

do they just wipe off clean? maybe some WD40 or other spray
i have no experience with crusty hooks
but i can tell you that removing them before the Line-X was done was good to do, but such a pain they were to get out since I did not have the proper tool!

some winters I have piles of snow and ice back there
    do you have that problem?

I have never even looked at the screws holding the rope ties in place; what bit did you use to get them out? I may just go fire engine red (or blue to match some random stuff) on my rope hooks.

i tried it by hand but it was a no go! ended up stripping one so I stopped and its still stuck and broken in there
had to get someone with a heavy duty impact driver and mini sledgehammer tool and pound them out slowly

fire engine red or trd red might look good on a spare set
red goes with black real well, maybe I will also get red for the future

it like playing GI Joes with all their interchangeable equipment

    Damn.

Really if anything, I'd want slightly larger rope hooks. When I head out to camp, I bungee my fuel jug on one side, but share that rope hook with a ratchet strap that's used to hold everything else.

Gets tight putting on 3 hooks.

As for the red, it'd match the handles on my tiregate. :crapstorm:

The blue would match the ice chest and tent. :crapstorm:

Late 60s and early 70s Plymouth Road Runners had loony toons horns that sounded like the road runner. They were purple, so were intake manifold and sometimes air cleaners depending on the trim level.

Its a metallic silver 1988 300zx, think whatever that boring 1st gen silver is, moonmist or something. But it's gonna be wrapped before drag season and we're painting the engine bay hot boi black before this engine goes in.

Should pop in a sparkly black engine bay. The car, I dunno what color he's gonna wrap it yet, but the silver is just so boring. Every car on the road nowadays is grey, silver, white, or black. Like everyone lost sight

White is nice and far more timeless than grey and silver for sure. The 1st gen white was kinda eggshell until 2001 though

Sold some parts to a guy with a Double Cab on Chevy axles, there was a whole group of them going wheeling up in Fordyce Lake in Northern California. They wanted to hear the horns so I obliged.

He was paid $50 to take the truck from someone’s property. Then he built this thing out of it. 5-Speed Manual swap with a JDM 5VZ on Chevy axles and... square driveshafts?
