For sale is a tan softopper for a DCSB 3rd Gen. Purchased in May 2019 (see receipt) and only used 3 times for camping trips. Sold the tacoma, so I am selling the Softopper. I cleaned the topper after each trip as I was worried that dust would deteriorate the fabric and vinyl. Includes:

Tan Softopper with clear unscratched windows (see photo)
    Bed-side rails
6 Bed-side clamps (I bought two extra at the recommendation of someone here)
Rear mesh window (Never used, see velcro)
    Original Instructions

Price: $700 Shipped ($200 discount, see receipt for original cost)

Could one of you guys post a picture of the softopper rolled up on the bed? Just want to see how far it sticks out from the bulkhead. I haul around a scooter pretty often in the bed and want to see if I still could with the softopper rolled up....

You're welcome. I got the softopper because i wanted to be able to fold it forward and put my bike in the bed.

I have one that I use for trips where I want the things in my bed out of sight. I don't keep it on full time which is one of the nice benefits of a Soft Topper to a hard shell. Even when it's on its minimal weight.

Not sure about water tightness. Probably decent enough in the rain to keep things dry but will collect moisture inside. I haven't sleep in the bed with it on and dust is a hard thing to prevent.

How long does it take to completely remove the ST? Trying to determine the likelihood of it getting stolen when parked overnight in the alley.

Faster if you have a battery socket driver. 90 seconds give or take.

That’s way too fast. Wonder if there’s a way to lock it.

You could do the same with a regular camper shell.

I was looking at a way to lock the softopper pins to the rack so they would need to remove the entire assembly to steal. Then you would need to have some locks on the bolt so they cant remove the rack

If you're needing to do something like that you might be able to use a padlock as the pivot point.

Just to chime in on the versatility. I roll the sides up in our hot Utah summers to provide some shelter while enabling bikes over the tailgate. I’m very stoked on it.

I did just crack the rear vinyl along a fold line from storage. I’ll store it flat from now on and likely get a solid for winter.

To all you softtop owners I have a question, I'm sure you've been asked but didn't want to scan for days for the answer. When trailing or (overlanding) does a it keep dust out? I have a tonneau cover that seems to keep dust and water out pretty well but wonder how does a softtop hold up?

no. It’s not sealed that well. It’s good for water but not great.
