Pretty much all rubber hoses are made in America anyway, gonna be fine.

 

so the mechanic tell me wrong again!

how about sucking/siphoning out enough coolant from the radiator (topside) with the shopVac so there is limited spillage on the ground in case my little dog gets curious
is that a good idea or not

 

i don't want to waste a whole gallon (just a partial if possible), this coolant in there is only a little over 2 months old

 

i am worried about contaminents and that, this radiator is very old!
this must be why the local toyota dealer wants $280 to do this, KCMO dealer wants $140ish

how much is a hose at autoZone? approximate

 

$14 maybe

 

A whole radiator is only $120 or so, if it's that old just replace it and get a couple new gallons of juice

 

i will probably need a radiator at 150k miles but will check for leaks on the top seams
1997tacomav6 has a very nice custom made one he said is going to last him a very long time!

 

Yeah it's way overkill for an average truck. Just get a normal rad and change it again when another 25 years rolls around.

When you swap your radiator out, you don't have to take apart your shroud -

 

nice new radiator! is it OEM?
i already know that suspension parts are coming up soon
tires are good for awhile, just 15k miles on them

 

if they leak they should get replaced

Look at the first pic; I had a hairline crack which, under pressure, spewed coolant onto the shroud.

I replaced the radiator maybe 5 months ago?

Most people are due for suspension even though they think they're not. You know who you guys are on this forum.

Just because you drove your truck and got 150k miles out of your shocks, doesn't mean your shocks weren't due for replacement at 80k give or take; shocks don't need to break for you to replace them. (Not directed at you, but just a general statement).

 

you know i was think i would also have to remove the shroud and fan to get the radiator out

toyota made pretty good shocks
i do the bouncy test and they seem ok, they settle down quick on the rugged roads here fairly quick
but once I get the bed off it will be so much easier to change them i hear

the front ones are a different story!
and the LBJs

 

I have no clue. Didn't get a look at the driver either but that really wouldn't have told me anything.

 

I didn’t realize some Milwaukee batteries are like over 200$

 

mine are just kinda weathered from the roadspray, i usually don't haul HEAVY loads other than a lawnmower and helping my sister and her family move 40 miles away, took about 3 loads for her filled the whole back!
