Need a little help deciding what to buy. I’m looking at a 2002 Tacoma Trd off-road extended cab with 236k miles ($6,400)or a 1999 Trd off-road with 223k miles (6,200). Both are automatic v6

They both have all of there maintenance recorders, both have only had 2 owners and from what I’ve seen neither have any rust

I like the green, but silver hides the dirt a little better. I guess if they are both kind of equal... that's all I got..:hattip:

Thanks I appreciate it. I’m kinda leaning to the 2002. I like the body and trim a little more but still not sure

Green one. It’s my trucks twin sister, plus, the cap is nicer.

They would come down to rust in my opinion.

Also verify the rear diff locker is working. It should engage after a few seconds and stop blinking. You can do a slow turn to verify the inside wheel is peeling out. New diff lock actuators are $350 just for the part.

Also the green one is over priced in my opinion. It’s a 20 year old truck with nearly a quarter million miles.

Thank you for the help. I’ll make sure I check that because that’s one of the big reasons I’m interested in it

If neither has rust, and are is same overall condition, then simple, go with the 2002 as it's three model years newer.
