    im not a fan of the frontier (ugly) but i think some competition is good for the tacoma.

    hate to say it but I think the Frontier is the best built compact truck at the moment, ugly but best built. That sucks for the Fronty crowd.

    Id like to see it stay. The market needs competition, and I think the Fronty was the best competition for the Tacoma.

    While the Frontier isn't the greatest truck out there IMO - it does have a couple features that the Tacoma doesn't that I wish it did. Disk brakes on all four corners would be a nice start; and without competition Toyota has no reason to keep improving and stepping the Tacoma up... really it is our loss. The best we can hope for is that Toyota sees the Tacoma as a competitor in the 1/2 market and tries to start moving it into that market; and moves the Tundra into the 3/4 and 1 ton markets.

    Apparently it's styling is more manly. And the Tacoma is more effeminate.

    How curves are manly and a boxy truck is more feminine is beyond me.

    Don't get me wrong I was looking at Frontiers too, but I'd had a Toyota before and it was great. So I stayed in the family.
