They both have the exact same drivetrain so probably little to no difference between the 2 in a race.

Both trucks have computer simulated LSD, the ATRAC on the Off Road is for 4 wheel drive situations.

I would go with the SR5. The “R” identifies its the “race” edition.

They have the same exact price if they are the same configuration and equally equipped, it would be up to you to test drive and figure the better choice for your needs.

First time poster here, not in the club... yet. I will be joining you all in the near future, whenever Toyota stops stringing us along and starts building these things.

Anyway, was at my local dealer yesterday & he gave me a copy of a build sheet for a double cab, off road, MT that they requested. thought I'd share the info that's shown: Advanced Tech Package (Blind Spot Monitoring w/ Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Multi Terrain Monitoring, & Rear Parking Sonar) was shown at $1,670. It would seem to me that the advanced tech package includes last years tech package.

No price shown on the LED running & fog lights, included I suppose.

Premium Off Road package (Auto climate control, leather trimmed front seats, heated front seats, auto headlights, moonroof, premium audio, dynamic nav w/ 3 year trial, & destination assist w/ 1 year trial) was listed at $3,645.

Premium 4 pc Carpet set was $245 (serious question: do people really get these?)

Base price on the truck was listed at $35,335

My truck is going to be born as a TRD OR, DCSB, MT, in Cement.

Couple interesting things to compare when I dug out my 2019 TRD Sport 6MT build sheet:

My Tech package (BSM, RCTA, Parking Sonar) was only $800. That doubles in price just from adding the MTM system? Have to decide if that is worth $8-900 extra. Wonder what the normal, non-advanced Tech package will cost and if it will still include the same stuff just without the MTM like before.

The Premium package on a Sport 6MT was $2060. Thought the OR was comparable in cost from back then. You listed Premium Audio on your build sheet - is that the JBL system? MT used to not come with that, not sure why, but at least it made the package a bit cheaper for us MT people. Wonder if they found a way to put that in now on the MTs? Still seems like a big jump in price though even with that, hopefully that is because the LED lights are included as part of the Premium package now as well maybe.

Carpet mats - yes I like to have those. Run the hard OEM winter mats or Weathertechs during the winter to keep the salt out, but during the summer I switch over to carpet mats. More comfy on the feet, especially on long trips where I might be inclined to take my shoes off.

Planning on upgrading to a 2020 TRD Off-Road DCSB 6MT in Cement with Premium + Tech (prob Advanced) packages also. Pretty much the exact same build as yours it seems! Want them to put up the configurator so I can run through and see what is included with what packages for sure and pricing on them for my region. C'mon Toyota!

Do you think a dealership would do a direct swap for a 2019 Pro with less than 2K miles for a 2020 PRO or OR?

Got two spec sheets for a Green Pro and a fully loaded Voodoo OR and there is only a 2.5-3k difference between them at MSRP.

By the time I’d add a Homelink mirror to the OffRoad that difference starts to look minimal.

I have an 18 with 9700 miles and I’m only getting offers for 39k trade in right now. They are discounting the 2019 pros right now so I bet the trade offers will go up a little once the new 2019s are gone.

I got 40k for my 2016 4Runner pro with 30k miles early last year.

Direct swap? As in nothing from you? I mean even if it is low miles they aren't going to upgrade you for free. You'll lose a bit due to depreciation and such. Luckily the Tacoma holds value well, but not that well!

I'm hoping so. Not knowing many prices is a killer. Once Tuesday comes I'll head over and see if my sales guy can print me out some prices

Are color matched rear bumpers still going to be tied into tech package(s)?

Other way around. They offered them a cheaper price than any other manufacturer per set to put them on thousands of Bros. Toyota wins . Saves pennies each unit

I am sure it will stay that way as the Sensors in the Bumper do not work with Chrome.
