do I need a hi-lift?

I have a 2010 access cab with 265/75/16 wrangler duratracs with front billies at 1.75'' and rear spring tsb. will the factory jack be able to lift the truck high enough to change a tire if i need to? i know the hi-lifts are alot better and have many other uses, but for now i just need to make sure i can put the spare on in an emergency.

 

The stock jack works for me and I just used it to change my CV boot. Plus unless you have sliders and or after market bumpers(with jack points), there is no spot on a stock truck for a hi-lift.

Yeah you dont need a hijacklift. I used my stock jack when I used to have a 3 inch lift just fine. I just got a 6inch lift and got a hijacklift. Just needa get the sliders!

 

you can replace your factory jack with a hydraulic bottle jack. works 10x better and i believe a 6ton will fit in the same location.

The hi-lift would be awesome if you have sliders and /or off road bumpers

 

you can use a hi lift without sliders, you just have to pick up a "Hi Lift Jack Mate". I just picked one up but haven't hada chance to try it out yet.

 

The hi-lift isnt just for changing tire. If you use a hi lift properly, the uses are countless.

I remember when every car came with a bumper jack that looked a lot like a hi-lift

going off on a tangent here
anyone ever jump-start a vehicle with a Hi-Lift?
I've done it with the old bumper jack.
