I had wanted a softopper for a little while and finally pulled the trigger on it. I rolled the dice on the tan vice the black. I haven’t seen a tan one on a blue Tacoma so I thought I’d post it in case anyone was curious about the color combo. I also did a little stencil work to break up the tan a bit.

Looks good buddy! That stencil work too. I have a silver dcsb and was thinking about the tan one too. Originally i wanted a camper shell, but im beginning to play with the idea of soft topper.

Does the state you live in require the third brake light to be visible?

Looks great! Do you have a picture of the whole view of the truck with the stenciling? What mudflats are those they don’t look oem.

I was going back and forth when I first bought the truck about getting a hard shell but the price was really off-putting. Plus I would have to store it somewhere and I really liked the look of the softopper

I wouldn’t worry the third tail light till you get the fix it ticket.

I haven’t had mine visible for months, I live in Missouri. No issues.

    Also, tan looks good!

Those are Rekgen XL mudflaps. Really easy install and I like the look.

I agree the simplicity and rugged look of the soft appeals to me. Im thinking softtopper and bedrack around it.

For sure! I’ve been looking at racks and the only one I’ve found that I know will fit around it is the one from Dissent Off-road but I’m not sure I’m 100% on it. I want something a little low profile

Was waiting for a while trying to find a used one ended up pulling the trigger on a new, I do not regret it. I’ve never had the need to have things locked in the bed but I’ve always had a need for keeping things dry and little items from flying out. The great thing is you’ll still have full access to your bed in about a minute.

Do you have the same American flag sticker on the passenger side? If so how do you have it installed? I've seen quite a few that seem to have the flag backwards, from what I've read the field of stars should always be in the upper left section but I've seen some with the field in the upper right.

I know RCI, and victory 4X4 have racks that fit around them. I linked up with a somewhat local guy here in TX and he might be able to weld me a custom.
