    What are your requirements?

    -budget
-# of people sleeping in it
-quickness to setup (some setup in a couple minutes but coast much more
-weight (do you mind putting on 250 lbs frequently?
-environments and time of season you'll camp (rain, wind, summer, snow, etc).

Answering these will allow others to help.

You can always try before you buy

Look to see if you're near a place that will rent you one for 2 or 3 days

If you only have $2500.00 I would suggest looking for a used pop up camper.

    Pop ups are cheap.
Lots of bad ones to go through. I looked at probably 20. No joke. Sides split, mold canvas, dry rot canvas, rotted floors..
I was driving home and saw a pop up in my neighborhood with a new travel trailer in the driveway. I knocked on the door and asked if he’s selling the pop up.

    I offered $300 and he said $500.

Sold it a year later for $700
