Got rid of the chrome bumper caps.

 

So I did a quick rinse followed by a quick clay and put two coats of wax on it! Much better. Like taking the best shit ever and wiping with a wet wipe.

Took the yaks for a walk. Tar river float fishing. Town commons to port terminal. 3.5 miles. 5 hours. No paddling except course correction and moving around structure. Great time. 6 pack job including lunch and clean up. Lol.

Today’s Lesson: Check your bike before you load it and drive to newport beach to the dealer to unload it to hear the rattle that worried you while running, only to discover the lower engine mount bolt was loose and the cause of said rattle.

 

Was really surprised. Expected a lot of boat traffic given the holiday. No one was out. It's a good quiet river though. Sections are inches deep. Lots of fresh water species. 20 miles east puts you into the saltwater. Big cats too. I caught a 20 pound earlier this year. My buddy caught a 43 and 27 pounder on the same day. He also caught a 6 foot gar in 3 foot water further up steam.

 

Pulled my skis and had no worries on the rear diff breather since I did that mod earlier this summer!

Gave my OEM unmounted spare to a contractor in my town with a GenII OR. I have been carrying it for a while to find a suitable “pass it forward” recipient. He was thrilled as he’d recently saved up enough for three new tires and had put his spare on the fourth rim, so had an empty rim. Feels good.
