    You'll need 2 adapter unless you're running a lefty...

Which adapter are you looking for?

Im running a passenger drop. Need the adapter between 2 gear driven cases. Already have the adaptor between tcase and the r150 transmission.

edit: both tcases are going to be 23 spline

Anyone ever have their coupler from crawl box to r150f be too long? Mine measures at 3.75” and my calculations indicate I need 3.55”

Yup I ended up having to cut about 3/8" off my coupler for my Inchworm box with Marlin 4.7 total spline gears.

Hey guys, trying to get my TG box installed and I am having some difficulties getting it onto the rear of the transmission. The 26-23 spline coupler fit well but tight on both sides, i installed it on the transmission side first and I can't get the tcase to slide into it, I think my hours of effort got me 1/8". Anyone have any tips to getting it in there? I had thrown a little grease in the splines so it wasn't dry. I'm thinking pulling the trans might be the easier option, then try to get the whole unit mated to the engine.

It was tough for me too. I had to get some longer bolts that would reach all the way through so I could start a nut on each. Then I worked my way around in a circle tightening each one a little at a time. Sucked it right in!

That's what I was thinking also. Ppl always say not to do that for the trans because of the pilot bearing, but I think in the 6 times I've done it I have ALWAYS had to do that method. Thanks!

Idk if it’s hard on anything or not, but that what I had to do. Once I got it moving it went in pretty easy.

Make sure you have the coupler going the right direction. The 23 spline side will go over the 26 trans output but the 26 spline side won’t go over the 23 spline crawler input. Ask me how I know :anonymous:

    @hoverlover

Here are the measurements for the oil seal extension housing on the 2nd/3rd gen manual trans. I took four measurements for each dimension so you have an idea of the tolerances. I am also going to ask the machine shop I'm working with to give me an estimate on having a few of these made in addition to the coupler they are working on.

Photo of the extension housings for the manual and auto side by side. Manual on the left.

    20190903_224732.jpg

Edit: Re-uploaded the PDF. Fixed one of the measurements on the ID of the trans side that was incorrect. It read 1.9320" and should have been 1.9820" consistent with the other measurements.

Thankfully I had it right. Never counter just glanced at spines and thought I had the higher spline count on the trans output side.

Got it in! Thanks @rngr for the tip. Was tough going, had to reef on those little m8s with as much as the midtorque could give em. Probably should've had a stud in this top hole too, ended up drilling threads out and thru-bolting it.

She's done! Mostly. Still going to make a crossmember to support it a bit better & for protection.

Didn't video it but I was doing a 1 wheel burnout too (rear diff is open right now)

Because who doesn't love taking a grinder to a $2200 part? Another brilliant fucking design move by marlin.
