    so, now that im supercharged and live in a very hot climate. 100+ in summer. should i start using a heavier weight oil. like 10-30 or 10-40 instead of 5-30?

    I still use 5-30. It has been running no problem through the last 5 summers since I've been supercharged in this 100+ Cali weather.

    For whatever it is worth. It's your call really.

    yes i have. its the dual row tacoma specific. i was a little worried about it sitting 2 inches lower than the frame. plenty of room, just did not feel it was as protected as it should be.

    thanks for the offer, but i installed the tacoma radiator when i installed the supercharger.

    If you dont mind swapping coolant in the s/c and engine twice a year distilled water and redline's water wetter are a cooler running substitute. i do. if you never see freezing temps maybe year round.

    Mine's supposedly getting delivered on Tuesday :D. The fab guy at ECGS refused to install the shock mounts though, I totally understand, if they are off at all it'll screw up my travel and such. Ordered some of those Total Chaos gusseted lower mounts to get installed :D. Sadly my mechanic can't do the install until next week.

    I know I know "WhY dOn'T yOu dO iT yOurSelF", because I literally just worked 12 out of the last 14 days and I'm tired AF and the amount of shit Im getting replaced/fixed is more than i honestly have time for, and i want to drive my truck ASAP lol.

    Followup question, maybe for @Torspd , so basically all the exhaust clamps on my Y pipe and exhaust are more rust than metal at this point, all the connections are leaking like a sieve as well. Exhaust looks pretty rusted out as well...Should I try maybe sanding down and maybe painting it all, get some new clamps, or call it a loss and just order new. I'm having the mechanic transfer over my cats to the shorties (finally I know), also still looking for some replacement cats that down cost an arm and a leg and aren't garbage (if possible?)

    Yeah I imagine mine will too. I went with 4.1's and the Eaton electric locker. Also sent them new backing plates for stock drums. Didn't feel like dishing out another $1500 or so for disc brakes that IMO aren't super needed. Did shell out for a powerstop upgrade drum kit though. Also got a spare front diff regeared and cleaned up by them. Have so much shit to do even after I get the new axle in lol. Ugh.

    It's pretty warm here in the summer, but cold in the winter. Stock radiator for now, though CSF is on my wish list. FWIW, no problem running Amsoil SS 0W-30 all year-round.

    I don't think operating temps once engine is on vary that much to switch oil. Modern engines like the lighter weigh 5w or 0w weight due to tighter engine tolerances. That's why Lots of small 4 banger cars and euro cars run 0W. I'd stick with 5W personally since it is what Toyota spec'd and I'm pretty sure they hot and cold test engines in design. But that said I'm gonna guess the actual performance characteristics are pretty similar on all three weights for the kind of abuse most of us put on vehicles. Now in Abu Dhabi or Siberia there are probably other considerations to undertake.

    I didn't know there was a rear drum kit from power stop.. I don't see it on the site. I see some brake shoes but no drums...
