Good luck sitting back and waiting for your dream Tacoma. Guaranteed, if the OP doesnt buy that truck someone else will. Its priced to move and move it will.

That truck is priced accordingly for the area. Seems overpriced for a 2WD but it's well cared for but most importantly, no frame rust which likely will be hard to find in another Tacoma in that area.

Im siding with this opinion on this one.

Try to get them down a bit lower so it’s fair and good to you, since it’s 2WD. But the truck itself is worth it if the current price isn’t a bother to you, OP.

All I can say is that I paid $22600 for a new 17 Tacoma with 0 miles. You all are telling me that it is alright to pay $14000 for a used Tacoma with 149000 miles. Wow. I spent 3 months on line looking for what I wanted until I found it and the price I wanted to pay. I also had to travel to get it. It was worth it and I even had enough left over to do all the upgrades I wanted. Im patient and it took an effort. Its your money.

8 year old 2 wheel drive truck with 150K miles on it?
    I wouldn't buy it.
If I wanted a 2 wheel drive truck, I would just get a newer F150 or Chevy/Dodge variants. Certainly nothing with 150K miles.

    If I wanted a midsize truck, I would get a 4WD.

I traded my 07 in with 87k miles (traded December of 2018), it was a DCSB sport 4x4 almost identical to that one. I got $13,500 trade in and they put it on the lot asking $18,000. That’s a lot of cash for an almost 12 year old truck with almost 90k miles. Personally I’d rather spend the extra and buy new, they don’t depreciate massively like some other makes/models. I took good care of that truck maintenance wise, but I also used it pretty hard with a lot of towing and hauling. Plus I drove it from age 16-25, I bought it from my parents when it was 3 years old with 32,000 miles. It had a clean (original) frame with almost no rust. I know the new owners, they’ve been pleased with it thus far. I don’t know what they gave for it, I didn’t feel like it was appropriate to ask. Maybe if it comes up in a conversation some day I’ll ask.

You need to think so. I went to Toyotas build your truck website and figured out what I wanted and how much it was. I then submitted an offer for the Tacoma I wanted in Columbus. While I was having my 15 Corolla serviced at a local dealership they saw the for sale sign in my window. I told them I was trading it in for my Tacoma in Columbus. The local dealership then started trying to get me to buy that Tacoma here and they would pick it up and bring it to me. They under cut the deal I had in Columbus by $700. The next morning I took the local dealerships offer to Columbus and showed them what was going on. I got another $500 off and lower interest rates. I got a base 17 Tacoma SR with the appearance package which included painted bumpers, rear sliding window and rear seats for $22600. I believe the sticker was just over $24000. This is it after I installed the TRD grill. The next picture is what $1500 in mods did to this truck. Most of the Toyota parts came from this website.charley brown 047.jpg 2017 Tacoma related 003.jpg

Looks clean. I have an 2007 Sport I brought new. I have owned 15 trucks in my life and nothing comes close. Buy it. The frames looks good and the engine will last 300K easy.

Hey group I pulled the trigger on the taco, got it down to $10,000. They added a 2 year service plan and 3 year extended warranty half off just because we drove an hour for this truck. When we went for a test drive I found some mail in the glove box from previous owner and contacted him about the truck, this guy really took care of this vehicle. Besides being about 30,000 miles higher than the average driver for its age, it runs like a top!! I don’t mind that it’s 2wd, have a awd highlander & 4x k5. Oh and my Xb. Thanks for all the input everyone!!

Good luck. I hope it works out for you. I said what I did because I did feel you were going to over pay for it. I laughed at a lot of the responses because there are a lot of people who don't get it. Good things will come for you when you are patient. Enjoy your Tacoma.
