Im in the process of installing a Icon AAL on a ‘17. I’m running into an issue with the overload spring. I want to leave it in but the clip is interfering with the AAL spring clip, do I cut off the stock overload spring clip or the AAL? Additionally am I going to need to shim? I should be about 2.5” after AAL and 1” block. I appreciate any help. Cheers!

Just did an icon 3 leaf AAL last night. Had to cut one stock shackle off on each. The instructions said you might have to. Also had to cut the U bolts and centering bolts.

I did it a few months ago, grind the head of the rivet off.

Did you ever solve the overlapping issue with the AAL and the overload leaf?

Did you cut the overload clamp or AAL clamp?
