    Not an Entry. NOT. Although technically around my house.....


    It amazes me how many stars our eyes can't see. I'm not in the city, but I do have a fair amount of light pollution. Still, the amount of stars visible to the camera are amazing.
    This shot is a product of 25 frames, shot at 5 seconds exposure, stacked using Sequator. So. Many. Stars. Most are galaxies I presume. Absolutely wonderful. I'm looking directly up from my front yard using a Nikkor 50mm 1.4G

    Went out in the west desert last weekend, and spent an hour laying on top of my roof tent, just staring at the sky. It's incredible in the pure darkness and once your eyes adjust how much you can see.
