I will never admit to you being right...ever...

 

So I got it drilled out, tapped and these thread inserts put in. Never really felt the thread lock bite in. Letting it sit overnight before reinstalling the roof rack. Afterwards it occurred to me the oil from tapping it might be counteracting against the thread lock. I should have used some alcohol on it to clean it first. If it is not set in the morning I will JB Weld that shit.

 

It's probably okay. All the times I've used inserts they didn't really bite. I think they actually lock down when they're turned the other direction.

I could be wrong. It seems to happen alot lately.

 

I went to a roller derby in Key Arena. Talk about a frightening event to hit on women.

Nope. They spun freely this AM. I must say, I did a great job tapping them. Threads are smooth as butter.

Just cleaned it with acetone and about to reinstall with 5min epoxy. Shit ain’t coming out now.
