Hey everyone, I'm new on this page and was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 2.7 L 4 cylinder. I bought some bilstein 5100 shocks to put it on the truck along with some 2881 OME springs. Now the installation part is do I put the bilstein st the lowest setting and let the springs do the lift and add a 1" block at the rear to level it out or is there any other ways off doing it such as aal? Or any other ways of doing it Thanks.

    Correct.
I would go with an aal in the rear opposed to a block.

How many inches would I go for the aal? Thanks for the fast response.

Check toytec, headstrong, low range etc for aal.
Depending how much lift you get in the back, you might need a bpv bracket or you can cab your own.

Do you have extended length rear shocks?

Can't remember exactly how many inches for the rear. That was my first lift. 881's and a toytec ask.
    Prob 2in max.

Honestly, I can't remember if my aal came with a bpv bracket. It's been so long ago.
You could call on Tuesday and ask but it doesn't say in the description that it's included. They have them listed on the webpage

This was with toytec aal and 881's. I was using the factory Tokico shocks even. Back in 2008.

Eventually, I would move up to the Dakar spring pack. And it's always good to get longer u bolts even though you may not need them.
