Has anyone done the anytime fog light mod to the 3rd gen? I did a search and I didn't come up with anything. Just wondering if someone has already done this?

Why do people drive around in normal visibility with fogs on? They are blinding to oncoming drivers when there is no fog. I’ve always wondered this.

Proper SAE fog beam pattern wont blind oncoming drivers. Its those who have flood or spot beam rigids (or insert other brand) pods that blind people. Or they are aimed wrong. My fogs could not blind anyone unless they were laying in the street about 10-15 feet in front of my truck.

Is this just so you can have them on with your hi beams? What’s the point?

This is so I can have them on with my DRL's.

I’m still not seeing a benefit. How is this better than just turning your headlights on?

If you turn on your headlights your tail lights come on also. I don't want the tails to be on in the daytime with my DRL's and the fogs.

Why do you need your DRLs and fogs on during the day? And if you do why would it matter if your tails were on? I’m not try to troll you here I’m just really having a hard time understanding what kind of special situation this would be a benefit worth the effort.

I'd like my front to look like this in the daytime without the tail lights on.

Basically YES! That's all it is.
In the 2nd gent it was really simple to do. But they changed it in the 3rd gen. Now the relay ground is controlled by the ECU.

Maybe it's easier to turn the tail light off at this click? Just a thought
Like only have them on with the headlights.

Edit. Unless you don't want to screen/lights to dim too

Diode dynamics is working on a plug and play module for this... i have one installed on my q50 ... i wish it was as easy as the 2nd gen fog light mod for us in the 3rd gens
