Just had my first encounter with the "charge nurse". Apparently NOT a NASCAR fan. Start was delayed at Darlington. So the race just ended. They dont like patients watching tv at 2am.

So? Lot of this shit show I don't like...Dont hear me blaming the nurses....

One tv per room. I'm in a single bed room.

    Well, morning all,

Here we go, 17MPH out of the northeast winds right now, Dorian isn't even here yet.. Sure wish it had made the turn two days ago.. Power has already flickered a couple times the last 2 days and we've had great weather... Just cannot wait till tonight and tommorrow!! NOT!! Chief Judge just closed all court proceedings thru Thursday now.. Ya think!! Boss says this only applies to the court system, we'll be open Wed. unless the County closes the buildings on us. He's one of those native Floridians that has set thru all the storms, he would have had us working today if it wasn't a holiday.

Don't know exactly how long I'll be able to stay on line, but I'll keep y'all posted as I can.. Last minute pick up and stuff in the garage kind of a day..

    Cheers..

    RJ

Morning all. And with that, the unofficial end of summer is upon us. Where has this year gone?

No. They must be prodding you every couple of hours and taking vitals every hour. Sleep is fleeting in the hospital.

On the bright side, you'll know when it's chow time when you hear the metal cart rattle down the hallway.

    Get well my friend

So I have been on vacation for the last week, don't like announcing it on social media.

Did a whirlwind tour of the East coast. I would like to tell you I visited all my TW friends, but this was my wife's trip.
    9 states in 9 days
    2 days of flying
    3 days in DC
    2 days at Lake Placid.

Started in Atlanta, drove to wife's friends in SC, then up to Charlottesville. Next day we went to Montecello and drove through the Shenandoah NP then to Maryland to have dinner with my wife's friends and on to DC. Walked over 30000 steps in 3 days before driving through NJ and NY to Lake Placid to stay with friends. A small 8 hour drive. We stopped in Liberty state park for a view of the statue of liberty, Ellis island and the NY skyline. My wife wanted to drive through Manhattan, I laughed.
Then out of NY we drove through the Green Mountains in Vermont, (where I almost saw @gugman) through New Hampshire to Mass, where my wife met her Uncle for the first time (she was adopted). He is 90, still drives and is a character.

Then home. Where i am laying on a heat pad, awake at 4am.

At this point I'm more scared of the wife killing me for staying than the actual storm... I told her I'll send her to our daughter's house in Tenn, me the dog and the horse will stay here.. She would have no part of that, does that get me off the HOOK?? :argue: :argue: :crapstorm:

Yeah, we did a Florida trip when we saw a launch, a couple of years back. I'm good.
