Lift the hood and see if the injectors or fuel rail is leaking.

Climb all over your truck and use your eyes and nose. Might sound silly, buy it works for locating issues.

It’s called a lock ring. I’m not sure on the 2010, but if your tank straps aren’t shot, it shouldn’t be too bad to drop the tank and replace the lock ring.

Does anyone know if you can get the the fuel pump assembly by removing or sliding the bed?

I did that on my GEN1 truck I removed the bed bolts unplugged the light harness and me and another guy slide the bed back until I could get to that assembly area, I would definetly say it was easier than dropping the fuel tank, now on the 2nd gen bed has those rusted torx head ass bed bolts now this can be a big problem getting them off from what iread.

That’s what I figured would be the easier way. I may try tackling this by going this route. I’m not to worried about the Torx bolt because rust isn’t a big problem here.

more power to ya. I would advise just dropping the tank, its less time, labor, and you dont have to fight with lining up the box after moving it... I have several friends who removed the bed to do rustproofing on the frame, and it was a nightmare to get it lined up properly, it was always offset to one side by an inch or so. They finally got it right, but its a lot of unecessary work if you can just jack it up and drop the tank.

    Either way good luck

if you can get the Torx screws out that's really the work, go underneath unplug the lights and just slide the bed back or completely remove it also you may have unhook the gas filler tube somehow, that's way better than dropping the tank anyway u look at it. I replaced the fuel pump in mine while I was at it since I had 200k miles and replaced the seal/gasket at the same time it was leaking and smelling gas.

when I did my bed I just finger tightened all the bed bolts, and adjusted the bed to where I liked it, then tightened them up, would have been a real nightmare to deal with a tank full of gas and unstrapping it and the trying to unplug all the hose connections, with the bed just get out the Torx screws(can be a MOTHER), unplug the tail lights, get out of the way, with plenty of room to work
