Good afternoon wheeling with @Snail81 and @cwisema

Thanks for the pointers. Covered most of them but not in that order. The roads/trails were elementary except for a couple of rutted mud sections on Byers Rd, which we went from east to west. The east one was deeper but had a bypass. I was the first one through. Didn't take the bypass but hugged the left side until the right tires slid into a rut. Gave it some skinny pedal and came out OK:

Mark in his Ford diesel on 35s went through the mud after a couple of tries:

Kevin in his JK on 35s went thru it in one go with some momentum:

@Snail81 and @cwisema took the bypass, which had a couple of tight trees:

Mountjoy Rd looked promising on Google Maps, but was closed off from the east end, probably for conservation. We went along an access road along a corn field until we hit a dead end about a kilometer in and had to turn around

Did you have to tell everyone we took the bypass? What ever happened to "What happens on the trail, stays on the trail"? I see it's more like "What happens on the trail will never be lived down".

It was a fun day. Ardbeg late Sept. or Oct?

It's 2019. What happens on the trail goes on TW, FB, Vimeo, Instagram...

I'm up for Ardbeg in Sept/Oct. Gotta get a few more uses out of my truck tent :D

The west mud section on Byers Rd had a hard bottom:

Well got my power tray finished! Love how it turned out and ready for more lights in the future!

The 12v and USBs in the back are on a constant switch. I’ll leave it off but if I need the juice when I park or what not the option is there. More or less did this to power the 12v cooler but figured may as well add the usb and the power tray.

Shoutout to @tacoma16 for the aluminum tray that he rough cut for me and lots of info especially on the relay. @Manfred for some tips, and 4 gage wire (which I have extra if anyone needs).

Also bought Meeso’s Fuse box cover off @Norilsk to cover the fuse box after adding the add a fuse for the switch.

Would like to do the Ardbeg North Trail some time; never been there before. Maybe camp by Skunk Lake: https://goo.gl/maps/25DdZJ9RFpW164Rm6

It was a great first time off the pavement. Thanks for all the help and instructions. I'm really impressed with the truck.
Lesson of the day: next time - air down!

Update: nothing found trapped between the rotor and backing plate. However, all four brake pads had mud compacted solid in the center groove. Never had this happen with my previous truck. Wonder if the slotted rotors I had before inadvertently avoided this problem? :notsure:

Since the wheels were off and truck was on jack stands, I put an extra 1/4" of preload in the coilovers to reduce the rake. Will have to drive it a couple of days to see what the height increase I end up with. Figure I should do all my coilover adjustments before the Icons go through a winter. :D

The factory rotors are quite durable. With my previous Taco, after about 50k, the pads worn down to about 50%, while the rotors had negligible wear (<1 mm). Just treat it as an upgrade.

My fronts were still in very good condition when I swapped out at 100k. MT tho, so apples and tapeworms comparison...replaced with OEM rotors and pads.

Oh and I hypermile the gurl with 90% Hwy miles. Gots this newfangled front air dam...figuring on 20% increase in fuel efficiency and 18hp at the rear wheels...
