Can someone tell me how well the stock TRD Pro tires, Goodyear kevlars are in the snow? I have heard the complaints about wet/rain road traction being terrible, I'm guessing they might be terrible in the snow?

They're not bad in the snow honestly, especially with less tread wear. Depends how often you'll be in it (are you living in snow? might want something different).

Give them a shot first and if they don't do what you want then get a new tire.

They are better than you'd think. Much better than the stock Toyo/Firestones on the other models.

I would run them for the first year, then upgrade to a proper all weather all terrain next year.

Pro's shouldn't be on stock rubber for long.

They're alright. Didn't have any real issues up in NH

They are fine. I usually drive with a few bags of water softener salt in my bed and only switch to 4hi if the roads are covered. Never an issue though. If I lived in a mountain/ hilly area I would consider dedicated snows.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think I'll do the try them for a year plan, makes sense. I live west of Chicagoland suburbs. Country roads and open drifting farm land. It can get pretty nasty.

They're alright in snow especially when new. Not great, not horrible. I thought they kinda sucked in heavy rain though, hydroplaned a bunch.

I don't remember which site I was looking at, but the Goodyear Kevlar aren't "serve snow" rated...plus it doesn't have the snowflake/Mountain rating.

I'm located in Western Wisconsin and the farmers almanac was predicting that it was good to be a "polar vortex" again this year. For work, I will be outside for winter time, so I definitely need something that's going to be able to handle snow/wet conditions.

After they get down about half tread wear they start really sucking in the snow. I had ~20k on mine and almost drifted into a guard rail getting caught up in some slush. I knew then it was time to replace them

They're garbage in the snow. I pulled mine off after 600-800s from new and sold them to the next sucker. I do drive like an asshole in winter so results may vary.

I live in a mild climate but used them in snow quite a bit. Lots of rain and dirt, they work much better than their Internet reputation would have you believe. Over 45K miles total before replacing with KO2’s and honestly, they had another 15-20K in them.

I turned all the traction control off and tried to drift mine in a few inches of snow and it wouldnt - damn tires would just grip!!

Maybe people got different tires. I don't think my gooyears have a three mountain peak or M/S designation, believe me I was hoping to run em till they were dead. In the end I didn't want to end up dead.

Have them on a work truck. They’re not terrible, but leave a lot to be desired. 3 peak mountain snowflake designated are your best bet for a tire you’re going to run all year. I have duratracs myself

Edit: Have the Wrangler Adventures w/ kevlar on my work truck and Duratracs on my Tacoma

Many year's ago my buddy was trying to scare his GF while driving in the snow by jerking the steering wheel and laughing at her, he ended up plowing into the guardrail, lol.

In dry snow, they're not bad. In california or PNW snow (wet and heavy), they're abysmal, downright dangerous. Hydroplaning is a big problem. The Kumho or Crugen HT51 are a major upgrade for not a lot of money, if you want a great all around tire. I had them on my 17 trd off road, and they were great in everything.
