    Thanks for that. I think we have worked out the problem. The engine and ecu I put in my Ute was out of an automatic. My Ute is a manual. This seems to be the issue. The ecu is cutting off the vacuum to the sc once it hits around 3500rpm. We are now in the process of recalibrating the original ecu and allowing it to take boost. Hopefully it works. Will keep you all posted.

    When I converted my truck from auto to manual. It would run. For the most part. Every time I engaged the clutch it would have a 2-3 second delay before the throttle would start to operate again. I have multiple faults for the transmission with a check engine light on. I never tried to drive it hard. I never took it over 3k either.

    No, I fixed it with in days of the conversion. I had a new ecu for a manual truck ready to go. I just drove it a couple of days to make sure every thing was good until I could take it to the dealer to program the new ecu to the truck. It has been 2-3 years since the convertion.

    Yes sir! It will run just like a MT ECU equipped truck with a rev-hang delete tune on it. Using HPTuners to disable all the codes generated from the missing transmission inputs ensures it runs just like it should w/ no throttle issues.

    Must be a slight difference then of ecu I’m some way. Who knows! It’s weird. I think in my case we need to delete the auto trans from the ecu. If that doesn’t work then it’s re program the original ecu. Maybe the Hilux auto and manual are slightly different in some way. We known the engines are the same.

    Just out of curiosity, when you say you didn’t take it over 3k, is that because you didn’t want to or because you actually couldn’t get the car to go above 3k?

    some poor saps like me are stuck in relentless traffic. 3k is hard to achieve a lot of the time.

    you can drive like 130kph for miles with only a worry of hitting a roo or getting bit by an 8 legger when changing a tire.

    Hahaha! You know us pretty well down here! Yeah those bastards of Roos are everywhere. Just on my property alone I have around 50-70 just hanging around. Myself and neighbours shoot them a lot cause they eat a lot of our grass for our cattle. And yes the spiders can get the hair on your next standing. Lol

    max both ways shock still has play. im in the safe zone. reason i was the grinder knome. i hired a pro to check and weld.

    Yeah but leafs are gonna flex more than you can do in your driveway. I'm not trying to talk down at all. Just don't wanna see broken shocks hahaha. I'm looking at around $1200 or so to rebuild all mine.

    Did you drop down to just the single main leaf and flex everything out? You'll see your max flex then to make sure the shocks are long enough/if you need limit straps.

    i appreciate the advice. we lifted the truck side to side with a forklift finding maximum stretch, but with a full leaf pack. i rarely wheel it, and when i do im nowhere near your level of badassery.:bowdown:

    Sounds good! Yeah if you were doing any high speed stuff then I'd be worried. Low speed, for the most part you shouldn't be flexing out the leafs to the point where the shock will reach max extension, but high speed you can easily.
