If everything is installed and torqued correctly, then it most likely is the shock topping out. Possibly have the front coilovers "lifted" too high. Kings don't have an internal top out pad (Fox's do), so they are metal on metal when they extend all the way.

I have extended travel; for your kings, how many threads are showing? I will be adjusting my ride height tomorrow to see if this corrects the issue.

For what it's worth, my Kings do this but I've also had this happen with Icon and Toytec as well. The shock is just reaching full extension rapidly and once it gets to the end it makes that thud sound. For me I really only get it on uneven expansions on pavement, and it has to be under the right conditions. If it's happening on every speed bump then it might be worth adjusting the preload back down a little or just slow down a bit.

I need to get another alignment soon and was hoping to raise my truck some more to get it closer to level. Does anyone know an exact way to measure without before numbers? I have a 2-1/2" droop right now and that's about all I have to go off of. What do you guys have for droop?

5 turns of the collar = 1" change up or down so 2.5 turns = 1/2" of adjustment if that helps.

I get that, but I have 700lb coils and only some added weight, so I don't think my truck follows that rule.

As much as I can get :D
I am also willing to remove a leaf or two from the rear, but I'd rather get the front adjusted first.

Finally got my truck lifted after lurking this thread for months. Went with #700 springs to future proof. Icon RXT leaf pack. Did a cab mount relocate to fit 285/75R17 BFG KO2s on SCS Ray 10s 17x8.5.

Nice! Is the RXT pack on stage 1 setting? And do you know how much of a lift you have on the front?

Stage 1 for now! Waiting to add some stuff in the back before I bump it up. Not sure what my measurements are off-hand. I can measure and report back. Only went with 5 threads in the front if that helps.

Got it, I did stage 1 with my rxt as well and in my experience, it gave it a much higher lift than what icon states. My local off road shop also told me the stage 2 lift is not needed unless I have full armor and RTT as it would be way too high without considerable weight.

Damn... This happens on my Canyon as well but I can't lower it. I have zero threads showing even with 550 springs, winch, partial steel bumper etc. Compression feels awesome but rebound is harsh when goung off ledges/rocks/potholes.

Sounds like a valving issue, not a spring / height issue. Measure eye to eye at ride height, then jack up the truck and measure again. How much droop do you have?

How are you liking the Kings with the Icon RXT leafs? I currently have Icons all around with the RXT leaf pack but I'm probably going to upgrade the shocks/coilovers to Kings in a few months.

So far, no complaints yet. Haven't really used them yet though, but I've heard good things.
