fluid film washes off very easily too i am hearing reports of

 

knew i should've kept going...but people we were with showed up in a Hyundai and wouldn't keep going. Wife said dont ditch them..ugh. @Fernando take hwy 32 towards chico and hit deer creek falls, the wife and kids will dig it. And from what i here the fishing is good in the creek.

This one was tailered to the truck based on clearance and what it'll be used for . When I go to make my rear bumper and roof rack I'll probably build a jig for them incase someone wants one

 

Junkyard north of me . They have a bunch of scrap and a pallet of steel diamond plate . Got a decent stack of 1'x3 for 20 bucks plus the Jeep bumper which I cut up

 

After installing the outboard pad on the inboard side and outboard pad on the inboard side, the friction and pressure on the caliper pins from the pads touching the rotor caused the caliper casting to break... previous day I stripped a brake line too.

On the third day I rebuilt one side caliper and installed a new caliper since I broke the other. New pads (Bosch, don’t recommend. Also don’t recommend Centric) combined with misc retaining clips and wire springs since the Bosch ones suck. Also finished replacing all my flex hoses and put a new rotor on there since the pad wore a nice groove into the rotor in a very short distance. Bled the brakes and the truck’s real nice now.

Pro tip, use scotch brite on the piston cylinders if they aren’t immaculate.

Of course none of this would have been necessary if I hadn’t taken on the preventative maintenance of rebuilding the calipers and replacing the flex hoses. I guess there’s some truth to “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

 

Those are 46”, im only on 40”. But I can cruise down the highway at 100k comfortable

 

i must get on top of this before it gets any worse
hopefully this touch up paint pen will get er done for now
i think it has a sander as well on the tip but i have not received the item
it was a 2 week back order they told me

Took the truck out to Lone Pine, CA for a friends 50th birthday bash, just got home a couple hours ago. He took us to an abandoned mine that you can drive into. Pretty damn cool.



The other 2 trucks were Tundras with suspension done.

Finally swapped over the bumper and grill from the old truck. Took ALOT of grinding to get the crossmember to fit thanks to a bent frame horn.

Gave everything a few coats of satin black to freshen it up and got it all together. Probably going to paint the filler plates to match the truck, just didn’t have any silver paint on hand.



Prerunner is now (almost) stock again!
